Dates Pancake
Dates, the fruit of the date palm, have long been enjoyed as both a staple food and a preserved food throughout the Middle East.
Rich in minerals such as iron and calcium, dates are a popular fruit for supporting health and beauty.
This time, we made pancakes using dates! 🥞

- Eggs:600g
- Cake flour Violet (NISSHIN SEIFUN):510g
- Dates powder:90g
- Granulated sugar:180g
- Dates syrup:120g
- Baking powder:12g
- Cake Doll Liquid shortening (MIYOSHI OIL & FAT CO., LTD.):60g

How to make the batter
Sift together the cake flour, date powder, and baking powder.

In a separate bowl, combine the date syrup and Liquid shortening, then mix well.

Add the whole eggs to the mixer bowl and beat until loosened, then add the granulated sugar and mix well. Next, add the Dates syrup and Liquid shortening, and continue mixing.

Add the dry ingredients to the eggs and mix until smooth.

Finally, add the water and mix at low speed for about 1 minute.

How to cook the batter
Set the Tabletop Pancake Cooker to 195℃.
Apply oil (Bitakatto SL) on the copper cooking surface.
Dispense the batter and cook for about 50 seconds.
Flip and cook for another 30 seconds (a total cooking time of 1 minute 20 seconds).

We also tried making mini-sized pancakes!

Examples of fillings

Because dates are naturally very sweet, the pancakes turn out delicious even with less added sugar. 🍳
We recommend serving them with whipped cream and sliced almonds!
These date pancakes are both delicious and packed with nutrients that support health and beauty. Give them a try! ✨
