\n During our recent business trip to Taiwan, we seized the opportunity to visit the renowned Fengjia Night Market, a place we had long desired to experience.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

Night markets are a daily occurrence, or every other day, transforming the streets into a bustling haven of stalls from dusk till nightfall. Fengjia Night Market, situated in Taichung, is particularly famous. Even on a Wednesday night, we were surprised to find the market teeming with locals, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Notably, there seemed to be fewer international tourists, adding to the authenticity of the experience.<\/p>\n

Adjacent to the stalls offering an array of drinks, food, and tempting snacks, clothing and general merchandise stores could be found, providing an opportunity to indulge in sightseeing, gastronomy, and shopping\u2014all in one lively place. Some stalls even offered activities like target practice, evoking the festive ambiance reminiscent of Japanese festivals.<\/p>\n

At the night market, the enticing sight of freshly made-to-order food never failed to captivate our senses.<\/p>\n

The dumplings we requested were freshly wrapped on the spot. They offer a delightful balance of sweetness that makes them seemingly irresistible for continuous enjoyment. A similar scenario unfolded with the pork-wrapped green onion skewers, which took some time to prepare. (While we waited, we found ourselves indulging in a bit of shopping.) We sensed a local cultural emphasis on the value of freshly made products.<\/p>\n

All the dishes were incredibly delicious and had a familiar taste that made them easy for us to enjoy!<\/p>\n

In Taiwan, English and Japanese are commonly spoken at hotels, supermarkets, and convenience stores; however, at the night market, Chinese (Taiwanese) predominates.
\nThe serving sizes, even for the smaller portions, were quite generous, ensuring a satisfying experience right away. Sharing with more than one person is recommended for the full night market feast.
\nDuring our city cab rides, we encountered numerous night markets of varying sizes. sparking our curiosity to explore a different one on our next visit.
