The number one international bakery and confectionery trade fair “iba2009” was held in Dusseldorf for 7 days between 3 and 9 October, 2009. More than 79,500 trade visitors came along to iba to find out about the innovations and new developments presented by the 1,059 exhibitors from 55 countries.
These bad economical situations worried us about the decrease of the number of visitors because of recession and the increase in unemployment. But in fact there were a lot of visitors at iba2009 in spite of bad weather. And we got many inquiries of machinery from Iran and other Middle East countries, Russia, India and so on.
There were a lot of high-capacity machines which could not see in the Japanese exhibition. In the European market, they require the large scale line capacity which is not certain pieces per hour but certain ton per hour. We exhibited FULLY AUTOMATIC SANDWICH PANCAKE MACHINE that produced 6,000 pieces per hour and MANJU FANCAKE MACHINE which had been developed with Morikawa Food Machinery Co., Ltd. and produced 2,400 pieces per hour. We demonstrated these machines were connecting to horizontal pillow wrapping machine. These presentations attracted many visitors, because there were few booths which demonstrate this type of presentation of the full line.
In cooperation with company of the Netherlands, we have developed a SAVORY DORAYAKI concept. It is sandwiched pancake filled with tasty paste and it makes good meal. SAVORY DORAYAKI was greeted enthusiastically by the visitors, especially frozen food and bakery manufacturer.
